Following Rangers’ two-point loss to Motherwell, James Tavernier expressed again another sense of worthlessness.
Rangers’ 2-2 draw with Motherwell on Sunday, December 29, increased the Celtic lead to 14 points, and Tavernier’s post-match remarks are incredibly repetitive, making them appear almost out of the running for the title.
Philippe Clement might be fired as a result, but based on Tavernier’s remarks in a post-match interview following the game (Rangers on X), it almost seems as though he doesn’t give a damn, repeating the same old phrase about being “obviously disappointed.”
Rangers need leaders at the front of a comeback, not someone who, like Tavernier, comes out with the same old platitudes after every disappointing outcome. It lacks empathy and comprehension of the current emotions of supporters.
Rangers downfall back on track after Motherwell draw
Rangers were fortunate to come away with a point with the hosts having two goals disallowed before the Gers were able to level the game through the heroics of Hamza Igamane.
